There were a bunch of races last weekend that CBD members took part in. Congrats to all racers!
Pleasant Prairie Open Water Challenge — Rob Iglinski (45:37) took 1st in 35&Under, 2 mile open non-wetsuite division. Erin Harvego (1:01.09) took 3rd in the 36&over, 2 mile open wetsuit division. Kim Schubek (1:06.09) took 3rd in the 35&under 2 mile, open wetsuit division.
Park Ridge 1500 — Kate Lorenz was our sole representative here and finished 2nd in the women 30-34 age group with a time of 22:36.56
Big Foot Triathlon (Olympic Distance) — We had good races with Sara Krajnik (56/3), Mia Aigotti (112/7), Heather O’Brien (143/9), and Siobhan Saver (154/10) all in the Women’s 30-34 age group. Roberto Delgado (373/50) and Randy Soibel (464/58) represented the Men’s 35-39 age group. Glenn Larson (120/20) raced in the Men’s 40-44 age group.
Big Foot Triathlon (Sprint Distance) — Andrea Love (39/2) was the sole woman in the Women’s 30-34 age group. Tony Hernandez (62/8) represented the Men’s 30-34. Nick Basile (50/14) and Alex Frei (90/19) raced in the Men’s 35-39. And Jason Pompeii (221/17) raced in the Men’s 40-44 age group.
Hy-Vee Triathlon — Lindsey Whalen took the fastest overall time for the women at the race (2:13.06). Erin Kersten got a top ten finish in the Women’s Elite division. Kevin Wilson (312/29) and Dave McAnally (151/27) raced in the Men’s 30-34 age-group.
Buffalo Springs Lake 70.3 — Steve Johnson goes to Texas and wins his age group (30-34) with a time of 4:24.03. He had the 17th fastest time overall. By winning his age-group, he qualified and registered for the 2009 Kona Ironman.
