Some of you might have seen David Danenhower, a tall coach with black hair, on Wednesday and Friday mornings. He is indeed a new coach with CBD. David comes from down state in the Champaign area. He swam for and was an assistant coach for the Champaign County Aquachiefs (now the HEAT). He coaching is biased toward strong technique to build speed. He his technical background is derived from Bill Boomer; he learned to apply Boomer’s principles from his coach at the Aquachiefs. He swam at Lawrence University in Wisconsin for four years, was the captain of his team, and was a 400 IM’er. David currently works for the ACLU.
