Chicago Blue Dolphins offers private/semi-private lessons and group instruction with pricing based on the number of students in the class and the number of lessons purchased. In addition, we offer discounts to groups in CBD-affiliated groups. Chicago Blue Dolphins offers small group classes for swimmers of all ages and skills. If you aren't sure what class is right for you, please refer to our Find the Right Class page. We like to keep our classes small to ensure faster learning and more individual attention. We will maintain a 3:1 ratio between students and a coach and our classes will have no more than 6 swimmers in them. Infant-Toddler (6 Months to 4 Years) You will register your baby or toddler for a group class that meets one time per week, and you will register your child for each week of the month. Tuition for our infant-toddler classes is paid monthly through a secure automatic payment process via credit card or debit card after paying any prorated fees and first month’s lesson fees via credit card or debit card. All automatic payments are completed on the 1st of each month. We will generally start the next round of classes on the first week of the month. If you miss that date, we'll find a day and time in the next month of classes. At the end of the month, we will evaluate your child to see if he or she is ready for the next class. At that time we will change the registration over to the next class on a day and time that has open slots. We like this approach because it allows us to go at your child's pace -- if it takes 5, 7, or 12 lessons to complete the class, you will know that your child has the correct skills to move on. The cost of a one-day per week, 30-minute lesson subscription is $72.50. If you would like to have your child swim more than one day week, you would simply register for a second class. You will need to call our office at 773.342.7250 to set up the automated payment and to complete your class registration. Make-Up Policy We can offer a free make-up class one time per month but the make-up lesson must be approved by the office. We will allow you to do a make-up at a particular time and day if there is space available in the class for an additional student. To schedule your make-up lesson, call the office at (773) 342-7250 to find a suitable day and time during the week. Cancellation Policy If you need to cancel lessons for the following month, please notify the office via phone at 773.342.7250 or in person prior to the 28th of the current month. Adult Learn-to-Swim and Stroke Refinement (13 Years and Up) Because adults have busier schedules, our adult classes are set to a fixed 8-week time schedule, one 60-minute lesson per week. The cost of an 8 lesson class with 60 minute sessions is $270. We do not offer make-up classes. If you miss a class, you may schedule a private lesson to make-up the class content. Private and Semi-Private Lessons Our private lesson and clinic pricing is based on the student to coach ratio and the number of lessons you purchase at a time. CBD Coach Rates We offer private lessons with our coaches in 25 minute and 50 minute durations. You will receive a 10% discount on the total price if you purchase 5 lessons at one time.
Chicago Blue Dolphins requires 48 hours of advanced notice for any lesson cancellations. CBD Head Coach Rates Our head coach, John Fitzpatrick, will accept private lesson clients but only in 5-packs of 50 minute lessons. Other than the 10% volume discount, other discounts listed in the "Discounts" section will not apply.
Chicago Blue Dolphins offers discounts on our lessons, clinics, and swim assessments to people who meet the discount level requirement.
