General Directions From the North: Take Taylor Street/Roosevelt Road exit off of Interstate 90/94 (Kennedy Expressway). At the second stoplight, which is Roosevelt Road, turn right. Flames Natatorium is located just inside the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building. From the West: Take Racine Avenue exit off of Interstate 290 (Eisenhower Expressway). Turn right at Racine and immediately make a left onto Harrison Street. Take Harrison Street to Halsted Street and turn right. Take Halsted Street about half a mile to Roosevelt Road. Flames Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building. By Public Transit: The Halsted (#8) Bus drops off at Roosevelt Road just one block east of the Physical Education Building. Either Blue Line train drops off at the “UIC/Halsted” stop near Halsted and Harrison; the #8 bus going south can be picked up from Halsted outside the station. The Red Line drops off at the “Roosevelt” stop. Walk through the station to Roosevelt Rd. and take the Roosevelt (#12) bus west to the Physical Education Building. General Directions By Public Transit: The Brown Line train drops off at Chicago and Orleans. You'll walk to Wells and about two blocks (0.3 miles) north to the Solheim Center. The Red Line train drops off at Chicago and State. Illinois St. Turn left at N. Streeter Dr. From the South: Take Lake Shore Drive (US 41) and get off at the Illinois St. exit heading toward Grand Ave. Merge onto N. Streeter Dr. From Northside on the Kennedy Expressway: (I94E/I90E): From the Kennedy Expressway (I94E/I90E), take Exit 50B to merge on W. Ohio St toward 600N. Turn right on N. McClurg Ct. Turn left on E. Illinois St. Turn left at N.
